Lumière Candle Co.

A chandler pouring small-batch soy candles needed an identity with the same patience as its craft — and photography that sells atmosphere, not just wax.

The Challenge

Premium Wax, Gift-Shop Labels

Lumière's candles burned cleaner and longer than competitors twice the price, but the labels — fussy scripts, stock flourishes — signalled hobbyist. The founder wanted gift-buyers to choose Lumière for weddings and housewarmings without a second thought.

Our Approach

Quiet Luxury, Loud Scent Names

We set the identity in calm, letterspaced serif with generous white space — then let the scent names do the talking in warm, sensory language. A single evening shoot produced the whole image library: low light, linen, and vessels photographed like objects of desire.

What We Delivered

  • Identity system — serif wordmark, scent-naming framework, and dusk-toned palette.
  • Vessel labels — six scents with cotton-stock labels and foil detailing.
  • Art-directed library — forty retouched images covering seasons and gifting.
  • Gift packaging — rigid gift boxes and scent-discovery sets.

The Outcome

Lumière moved from craft fairs into gift boutiques and a national department-store trial within a year. The founder credits the photography as much as the labels — the image library now powers the website, wholesale catalogue, and every seasonal campaign without a single reshoot.
